G vs. Gatorade
I think when Gatorade went to G that they would think more people would buy it just because it is another form of Gatorade. I also think that when they changed the name more people would be upset because athletes and regular people have bought Gatorade for the longest time. I do think it will work by changing the name because it's just another Gatorade product, but I also think that more people would buy the Gatorade, because they are used to seeing just Gatorade and now that their is going to be a G, then they won't be used to it when the drink first comes out. I honestly do not think the G drink will have an overall effect on Gatorade because people like Gatorade and when this new drink comes out they will more than likely choose the drink that they are used to seeing for the longest time. I think when Gatorade changed the name to G they would think more people would buy it to try it out, and also because it is another Gatorade product, they also think they will get more money out of the drink. I also think mostly athletes are drinking Gatorade because it helps them concentrate on the training they are doing and mostly it keeps them hydrated. When they switch over to the G they might not get into the game as much.

I think that customer recognition will deffinitely be an issue in this. If a customer isnt exactly sure of what they are purchasing, or if they dont recognize it, they are more likely not to buy it.
ReplyDeleteThe taste of the drink isn't gonna change right? I don't know. But if it doesn't athletes will still buy it, and if it does the majority of athletes will still buy it. Either way, G or Gatorade or whatever won't lose too much money on this new campaign
ReplyDeleteAsh(:
ReplyDeletewell if they thought that they were totaly wrong. They definantly lost ALOT of sales. The name has nothing to do with the concestration they have in the game:)
i dont think,
I think that the "G" would confuse alot of consumers because the T.V. ads dont specify that it is actually Gatorade and they will probably lose those consumers.
ReplyDeleteyou make some very good points

I think you are right on most of the stuff and I don't think most people will try it because the customers aren't used to see "G". :)
